I thought she was good in “Marvelous Wonderettes.” She defientley did well with playing the bratty charcter and sounded grat with during the songs, but I wasn’t crazy about her portrayal of Elphaba. Her voice couldn’t quite keep up with the melody and her acting seemed to lack vulnerability.

My husband and I traveled to Denver with a group of Victoria Matlock fans to see her performance as Elphaba in “Wicked”. Victoria was wonderful, as was “Wicked”. Victoria has a remarkable, unforgettable voice that is a joy to hear. As the lead actor in the show she certainly made the green-skinned “wicked” witch Elphaba very believable and spellbinding. We are looking forward to experiencing this bit of Broadway in Winnemucca and having the chance to see Victoria perform once again.

I had the great pleasure in see Victoria perform in “The Marvelous Wonderettes”, in March at the Westside Theater in New York City. It was an incredible show and Ms. Matlock’s portrayal of Cindy Lou was superb. Her vocal talent is outstanding, and is, in my opinion, evident in her rendition of “Son of a Preacher Man”. Aside from her vocal talents, Victoria is a great actor and brings all the sides of Cindy Lou to life and somehow drums up sympathy for what some would call the “mean girl”. I highly recommend going to this performance and taking advantage of this great oppurtunity. You won’t be dissapointed!
