Mark,

Chris and his band will be here on Wednesday, April 21. See upcoming events here.

The post you found and commented on is the archived page from the 2009 Chris Cain show.

The new show is coming next Wednesday night. The tickets are on sale. When the Northern Nevada Lifestyles edition you have (Spring 2010) was printed, Chris Cain was scheduled to be here on Tuesday night, but his tour routing changed a bit, so we moved it to Wednesday night.

See you Wednesday,

Bill

Northern Nevada Lifestyles (Winnemucca publishing)in the Spring, 2010 edition (pg. 24), has Chris Cain performing at the Martin on April 20th. Is that correct? Or, has he already been there as this web site indicates. Perhaps a return engagement?
Thank you, Mark

We have seen Sourdough Slim and Robert Armstrong in concert before, and are definitely planning on coming up to Winnemucca to see them again. Not only are they both very talented musicians with a great repertoire of old cowboy and blues music, but they are funny, too. Looking forward to an evening of wonderful, “old time” music and lots of laughs.

We actually have FIVE more shows! After Piper's on the 23rd, we'll be at the Laxault in Reno on Saturday, Oct. 24th, and then also the 29th-31st. I'm SO very glad that everyone enjoyed it! The cast had a wonderful time in Winnemucca and we were grateful to be there with such an enthusiastic audience! Thank you!!! Sunny (First Witch/Murderer #2)

I thought she was good in "Marvelous Wonderettes." She defientley did well with playing the bratty charcter and sounded grat with during the songs, but I wasn't crazy about her portrayal of Elphaba. Her voice couldn't quite keep up with the melody and her acting seemed to lack vulnerability.

Not only did I go, but I brought my sister and daughter along with me. I really did not know what to expect, and am only minimally familiar (I'm ashamed to say!) with Shakespeare things. Anyway, after much debate with myself about whether to go or not, I finally decided to go about 6:30 p.m. I found that I thoroughly enjoyed it! Once again, as usual, I left an event brought to us by GBAE and was thankful for the people who work so hard and are so dedicated, that bring such high quality entertainment to Winnemucca for us to enjoy!

Best Shakespeare I've seen here, except for the Tempest, when I was about 10. That was done in the gym, in the round, a format I prefer, being able to sit closer, see expressions, hear better. Actually refreshing that MB wasn't cut down or modernized too much; fun hearing words like "klept" and "bodkin" and so on. Wish I'd re-read it first -- always makes it even better.
